Treatment Interventions:

Supportive Therapy
Traditional, insight-oriented psychotherapy is conducted on short and long-term bases. Clients often respond to empathic, nonjudgmental listening to be fully heard and gently guided towards self-actualization.

Cognitive Therapy
Identifying negative thinking patterns that cause problems such as anxiety and depression and developing new, more productive ways of thinking. Unhelpful thoughts often include worry over events that have not
occurred and self-condemnation for minor mistakes.

Stress Management
Identifying life stressors and learning skills to manage them. Relaxation training, goalsetting, EEG Neurofeedback, time management, and cognitive restructuring are common approaches. Breathing exercises and imagery are also taught to manage stress and foster the body’s healing process for medical patients.

Psychiatric and Medical
Consultation
Occasionally intervention with psychotropic medication and medical consultation is critical to positive outcome. We provide ongoing monitoring and consult with medical professionals.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
A treatment technique used for processing traumatic memories, for alleviating the symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder, pain-management, and performance enhancement at work and school.
